This little book alerts the engineer about some of the highly important ‘Construction issues’ which can plague a construction contract both during its currency and even after the main work might have been completed. All this may delay the settlement of the contractor’s ‘Final Bill’ always a red herring, which can lead to further claims, counter claims, court cases and litigation.
The second part of this book attempts to explain to the younger and lesser experienced engineers’ various techniques of constructing Bridges in concise yet reasonably comprehensive manner. Although the details of various construction methods can be excruciatingly complex, the lucid explanatory here is detailed enough to present the procedural aspects to the concerned engineer in a step-by-step and practice-oriented workman-like manner – thus preparing him for facing the real time complexities.
