About the Author
Dr. S. Umamaheswari is working as an Associate Professor at Dr. G.R.Damodaran College of Science, Coimbatore, India, where she specializes in research areas such as Mobile Networks, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics and Cloud Computing. With an extensive academic background, including a BSc in Computer Science, MPhil, and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
She has made significant contributions to academia, with numerous publications in esteemed academic journals and conferences. She has also authored several book chapters published by leading publishers, further solidifying her reputation as a respected researcher in her field.
With a remarkable 11 years of experience as a System Administrator and 23 years as a Teaching Faculty, the author possesses a deep understanding of various aspects of computer science and technology. She is highly proficient in teaching subjects like RDBMS, Cloud Computing, Open Source Technologies, and the latest Web Technologies. Her expertise extends to the installation, configuration, and
management of Oracle and SQL databases, as well as Windows and Linux Servers. She actively contributes to the academic community by serving as a reviewer for reputed journals and participating in various review committees, including the AnitaB.org Grace Hopper Celebrations (GHC).
Recognized for her outstanding contributions, she has been honoured with prestigious fellowships, including the Summer Research Fellowship by the Indian Academy of Sciences and Internet Society Fellowships for inSIG and IETF 101 held in London. She is actively engaged in the ROLL and CORE working groups of IETF, demonstrating her commitment t o advancing research in her field.
In addition to her academic pursuits, she serves as a Mentor and Evaluator for the Smart India Hackathon organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, where she contributes to nurturing and evaluating the next generation of innovators and technologists. Her dedication, expertise, and passion for advancing technology make her an invaluable asset to both academia and the broader tech community.
