About the Book
- The book in hand makes one to traverse from ET to ET implying Ethical Tenet to Empirical Truth.
- Immediately it flashed to my memory, as to why I am often inclined to quote religious epithet while seeking ethical tenet in context of writing about scientific fact. As answer to the same I was reminded of undernoted writings: i) “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” Albert Einstein also ii) “Most beautiful thing we can experience is mysterious. - Thus, my curiosity “of exploration for the way to which assumingly Markandey’s Yantra could possibly have been obtained:”, got quenched.
- In such course it was incidentally discovered, “the emergence of discrete prototype/similitude of Gaussian (Normal) Distribution for Sums of four digits” for each of the three boundary trapeziums of the said Yantra for Part 1 of the book. Besides its discreteness, symmetry and its ends are finite, giving the same asymptotic look: implying equal frequency heights (the ordinates), for two terminals values of x, the abscissa.
- Author has been astoundingly surprised to get such result, as it has far reaching impact on the future course of statistical tests, dependent on the assumption of normality of the variable distribution.
- It explores three new Yanytras, satisfying all the required properties of the original one.
- It is able to generate 24 such Yantras for each one of the above four (one + three) of them. Thus, the total no. of such Yantras to be 4×24 = 96.
- It is able to relate such results to the Representation Theory to obtain latest and liberal mathematical approach, having union of algebra, geometry and topology to produce space of Vectors which forms Designs for Decision for any venture/enterprise.
- It provides way for broader multi-objectivity which distributes activities into portfolios, investment, returns, taxation liabilities and hedging of risk: hence the pseudonym of MOPTY (Markandey’s Optimality).
- Thus, it carves out a tangible way for Start-Up’s to learn the art of collaboration as well as of independent operation with optimally distributed effort, investment while hedging risk at the same time.
- Its Part 2 through its five chapters is meant to relax some assumptions, that of nine-part activities for Part 1 and to obtain results for digit values 6,7 and 8 almost nearer to those obtained for nine-part activities.
- Besides its Part 3 with its caption ‘Mathematical Miscellanea’ through its three chapters 12,13 and 14 presents Advent of Digits, Perplexing Paradox: Stirling’s Formula and Zero to the Power Zero those are not only innovations but puts before reader mind-teasing problems.
Thus, the Monographic Manual, offers clue to larger industrial houses to break-up their production/ processing programs to larger number of smaller consortiums of Start-Up’s, arrange training program and provide infrastructural support required by them.
That could provide scope for larger direct and indirect employment potential to educated and skilled youths, apart from others. Thus, this said manual paves the way for the same. However, the solution lies in following the course and the data procured, analysed and model obtained, intermittently and following the course, till they hold good.
About the Author
Professor N. C. Das is former Professor-cum-Chief Scientist at the Department of Statistics and Computer Applications, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, India. He has over seven decades of teaching- and research-experience in the field of Statistical Inference, Design of Experiments, Operations Research and Computer Science. Data-based modelling for prediction has been integral part of all above. These are now essential components of Data Science.

This publication drew attention of GCKE-2023 (The Global Congress of Knowledge Economy) held at Sapporo, Hokkaido JAPAN, to invite the Author to Chair/Speaker for the event held in January 2023.

That is carving its own niche for its elegance, sleekness, simplicity and validity of prediction, minimizing the use LSE and discarding the application of R², traditionally being used.

The best way to know an author is to know him from his PUBLICATIONS where he writes, refers other great writers and their ubiquitous publications as though they are still living and continue to remain so till their publications are in shelves of libraries of the World. That’s the greatest award for an author.
For his contribution to Data Science/ Statistics he has been honoured by the Chancellor/Governor of Jharkhand in 2022.
