This book “Programming in Python 3 For Students Volume 1” strives to provide a systematic approach to
problem solving in software development as many of the existing books on programming lay more emphasis on features of a programming language or data structures. The book focuses on understanding the rationale for making design choices or coding decisions and evaluating trade-offs between alternative solutions, which are essential skills to become a proficient software engineer. Volume 1 deals with Basic Python.

Short Biography
Manu Natarajan currently teaches online classes from Python Programming to Software Engineering for students from varying backgrounds.
He has previously taught programming, web technology and other IT subjects for both undergraduate and graduate students in engineering colleges including Crescent Engineering College. His experience as a software engineer in his early career in the Hinditron Group of Companies and later Cognizant Technology Solutions enabled him to also provide an industrial perspective to his classes.
While working in the software industry, Manu has worked on software projects covering the whole software engineering life-cycle from inception to design to testing and maintenance.
He holds a B.E. in Electronics & Communications from Karnataka University and a M.S. in Computer Science from Syracuse University.
