About the Book

Digital Image Processing is gaining importance in the area of Computer Science. This book includes 19 various experiments performed on digital images of fundus using ImageJ; these are very basic guidelines for those who are interested to work in Digital Image Processing in their graduation or post graduation or for all those new-comers in their all research study hours.

Feedback

  • The Book is intended for both University/College and engineering Institutes.
  • As many UG / PG and M.Phil. / Ph.D. programmes in Science and Engineering have the main course of Digital image processing; this book will help them to understand and learn the image processing.
  • It is more helpful to beginners who are aspiring to learn digital image processing using ImageJ and building career in AI and ML.
  • Every chapter have listed exercises which are used to test their practical knowledge for the respective chapters.

Professor of Computer Science, Director, School of Mathematics and ComputingSciences.,Director, IQAC,Rani Channamma University Belagavi (Karnataka, INDIA)

I have gone through the book’s contents and it seems that each chapter consists of a practical approach systematically presented from simple experimental work to advanced level. Each step is clearly mentioned along with snapshots and in proper sequence. It is more helpful to beginners who are aspiring to learn digital image processing using ImageJ. The exploration of the different functionality in the tool is demonstrated with experimental work. The practical approach gives insight on the transformation which can be visualized at each step. Chapters are well organized so that interest of the learners increases gradually as it moves towards next chapters. Language of the book is simple and easy to understand without any difficulty. Digital Image Processing is a little bit complex to understand the mathematics behind processing the digital images, but step by step practical approach makes it easy to understand the different digital image processing transformations. Results at each experimental work is mentioned so that the learner clearly gets the idea of input, transformation and output.
