Graph theory has emerged out as an important subject of study for the student of all branches of BTech courses, MCA and MSc (Mathematics and Computer Science), MTech in Computer Science due to its use in solving complicated problems in science, society, net-working and in making circuit in computer. The book has been written to provide a text book in the above mentioned courses. The book contains the details of definitions , theorems and applications. Adequate sketches and solved examples given in the book will be very much helpful to the student to understand the subject and open the applications. All algorithms of graph theory, tree and tree traversals are well explained with good examples. Eulerâs and Hamiltonian graphs, graph colouring, chromatic polynomials, matrix representation of graphs and its uses in isomorphism are of special interest. The presentation is lucid, supported by sketches and examples will be of much interest to the students. About 110 objective type questions with solutions are added at the end to test the knowledge acquired by the reader.

Dr. Sukhendu Dey author of the book is a reputed teacher having all India fame in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Prof. Dey has long and illustrative teaching experience at Birla institute Of Technology., Mesra( Ranchi), Ranchi university and Indian School Of Mines, Dhanbad. After retiring from the services of Indian School Of Mines in 2003, Prof. Dey worked as Head of the Department of Computer science and Engineering and MCA at Academy of Technology, Adisaptagram (Dist Hoogly,WB)and work as a Director in Bengal Institute of Technology and Management, Santiniketan. He retired from the post of Director in 2009 and he was looking into the academic part and was in the post of Dean (Technology & Science), BITM,(Santiniketan). Recently he has joined Supreme Knowledge. Foundation Group of Institution as Professor & HOD, Engineering Sciences. Prof. Dey is an internationally known as Research Scientist in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Seismology. He has guided 24 research scholars for Ph.D degree and has more than 150 publications in International and National journals of repute. Prof. Dey is author of the book (a) âComplete Knowledge in Câ published by (i) Narosa publishing house (New Delhi) and (ii) Alpha Science International ( OXFORD. UK) simultaneously. (b)Numerical Methods with C programme. Prof. Dey is recipient of five awards including National Mineral Award (Govt. of India) and Michael Madhusudan Award in Science and Technology.
