This handbook has been produced primarily for 'Practising Engineers' the world-over and should prove a most useful work of reference to Consultants, Contractors and Clients (and even to advanced level students), alike.
The objective is to offer - under one single cover - a fairly comprehensive and yet concise account of almost all the disciplines involved (in their natural sequence of requirement) in order to serve as a ready reference for everyday problems that constantly confront those involved in bridges, whether in the office or in the field. The aim is to help them save time otherwise required to wade through multitude of references and texts.
The material as relevant to bridges has been carefully sieved from the author's other eight reference-type practice-oriented books on various aspects of Concrete Bridges and Contract and Construction Management Practices, published by Shroff Publishers & Distributors Pvt. Ltd. (India) and McGraw Hill (New York).
